Start preparing your Christmas journey today.

Discover surprising combinations and sensorial taste experiences through a world of blurry lights, glistening sights, sweet delights, and liquorice as the core.

As you count down to Christmas Eve, every surprise comes in packs of two. However, sharing is optional and one is rarely enough… We wrapped all of these surprises responsibly, so this year we made the packaging even more sustainable.

Do you have questions? We have answers.

Can I hand in the Christmas Calendar to LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW’s stores?

Yes, until 24 January you’re welcome to hand in the advent calendar to one of our own stores.
Our staff will make sure that the advent calendar is correctly sorted and delivered to the nearest recycling centre.

What do you mean by sustainability?

We believe that by recycling our materials, we can help create less waste - and reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible. Our sustainable advent calendar is a step on the way to a more sustainable, circular production system in which we retain resources and minimise waste.

What’s the right way to recycle the Christmas Calendar?

You can do two things:
1. Either you can take the calendar apart and dispose of the cardboard in a cardboard bin and the plastic insert in a plastics bin.
2. Alternatively, you can hand in the advent calendar to one of our stores before 24 January 2020 and we’ll make sure that it is correctly sorted and recycled.

Do you plan to focus more on sustainability in the future?

Yes, we’re currently exploring how we can optimise our processes and become more sustainable in the future. The Christmas Calendar is just the first small step towards a more sustainable production system.

What makes the Christmas Calendar sustainable?

We’ve designed the Christmas Calendar so that it can be recycled, and it’s primarily made of recyclable materials.

  1. Once again this year, we’ve used recycled cardboard and FSC paper - which can, of course, be recycled yet again.
  2. The foil that the products are wrapped in is made of bioplastics (without aluminium foil) and should be recycled as soft plastics.
  3. Once again this year, we’ve removed the magnets in the closing mechanism so they aren’t mixed with recyclable materials when disposed of.
  4. The foil trays inside the advent calendar are made of recycled plastics, which can be recycled once again. These should be recycled as hard plastics.
